Add Canopy to your
home screen

It only takes about 30 seconds, and there's nothing to download from an app store. Just follow the steps for your phone below.

iPhone / iPad
Android

On iPhone or iPad (Safari)

Open canopygives.org in Safari This only works in the Safari browser — if you're using Chrome or another app, open this page in Safari first.

Tap the Share button It's the square with an arrow pointing up — found at the bottom of the screen (or top, on iPad).

Scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen" It has a little icon next to it. You may need to scroll down a bit to find it.

Tap "Add" in the top corner You can rename it if you like — "Canopy" works great. That's it!

You'll now see the Canopy star icon on your home screen, just like any other app. Tap it any time to open Canopy — it'll open full-screen, without Safari's address bar.

On Android (Chrome)

Open canopygives.org in Chrome This works best in the Chrome browser, which comes built into most Android phones.

Tap the menu (three dots) It's in the top-right corner of the browser .

Tap "Add to Home screen" or "Install app" Depending on your phone, you might see one or both of these options — either one works.

Confirm by tapping "Add" or "Install" That's it — Canopy will appear on your home screen with its own icon.

Some Android phones will even show a small banner or pop-up suggesting you install Canopy automatically when you visit the site — if you see that, you can tap it instead of going through the menu.
